Here’s a list of Filipino delegates who won the “Grand Champion Vocalist of the World” title. 2005 – Jed Madela, 2006, the Cercado Sisters, 2007- Aria Clemente and Reymond Sajor. In addition, Catherine Loria is one of our champions now.

Philippine delegates for this year’s 2008 World Championships of Performing Arts “WCOPA” or “Hollywood Olympics,” will be an “all-vocalists” team

Catherine Loria, 13-year old, is from Tianong, Quezon Province. In the 2008 World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA), she was awarded the Junior Grand Champion Performer held at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel last July 25.

At the finals, Catherine sang Yolanda Adam’s version of “I Believe I Can Fly” She bested fellow junior contestants Tippy dos Santos and Rachel Razon, junior vocalists also from the Philippines, Oleksandr Chernenko from Ukraine and Courtney Mary Janssen from New Zealand.

Catherine Loria victory made her the third Grand Champion Performer of the World from the Philippines after Jed Madela in 2005 and Aria Clemente in 2007.
